Grad students rejoice
There's a guy at UW-Whitewater (that's University of Wisconsin) who's been an undergrad for 12 (count 'em!) years. That's right. So, fellow PhD's, if you look at your life passing you by. If you see your friends getting richer, settled, married, etc. If you think to yourself, "What the hell am I doing here?" Take heart. There's someone who's worse off than you. Imagine being stuck in undergrad for 12 years.
He's already completed 234 credits, 100 more than he needs to graduate. And he's majored in education, communications, theater, health and women's studies.
As if that wasn't bad enough - he withdrew his application for graduation this year! Why?

hey chick pea,
i hear ya. whatever happened to that carefree abandon that accompanied school life...? all's i have left are more gray hairs than should be there, and fantasies of a nonexistant *real* life...
you can take heart though, since i too, spend most of my time in the library and can completely empathize with your library post (except the anniversary of death part, of course).
this is the life of a poor grad student...

hmmm...
it took ten years to finally squeeze out a Bachelor's degree with whatever oddly placed credits i had strewn across an equal number of undergrad institutions.
i swear, those last three credits damn near killed me.
